The Tax Assessor’s function involves the discovery and listing of all real property within the City of Englewood; the determination and taxability and assessment, the listing of all properties on the Real Property Tax List, the Exempt Property List and the Added and Omitted Assessment Lists. 

The 2007 Tax List contains 7,478 taxable properties and 250 tax-exempt properties.  The total assessment of taxable properties amounts to $4,982,474,400; tax-exempt assessments total $669,189,600.

The 2007 Chapter 75 Post Cards were mailed out on January 31, 2007 stating the 2007 assessed value.  Taxpayers have the right to file an appeal with the Bergen County Board of Taxation by April 1, 2007 if they are not satisfied with their assessment.  Tax Appeal forms can be obtained by calling the Bergen County Tax Board at:  201-336-6300.
